dont torque the stock headbolts to 80 ft lbs, they are stretch bolts

if you want to rev to 7100 agian, get some schrick 064 springs

                Unless you have an M30

Yet another reason M30s rule. (You can reuse M10 bolts as well iirc).

Dotn see the point of reusing head bolts... I mean they relatively cheap anyways, I rather have the peace of mind, than use the old ones :)

Would someone mind telling me why not do 22 ft-lbs, then 90 degrees, then 90 degrees as in Bentley? Obviously 80 is too much, since he snapped the bolts off in the block.

But I'm probably going to end up r/r-ing the head sooner or later, and I'd like to know if there's some new-fangled and good way of doing things.

Yea, but if you EVER went that high, say 7100, the rocker was fatigued from that before, being that it went beyond the yield strength (the force) the rocker could take before microscopic cracks occured. From there on out, it was just a matter of time, and it also means that another rocker could be on the way out too - never know.

If you never went that high though, you cna ignore the above. :)
