Yes, so happy with the power. More than enough to get me in serious trouble. I constantly have to exercise restraint while driving it. XD

I see next to zero in the bays with headers on the m30s. What gives gents?

Got around to flipping the throttle, a difference of roughly 20 inches of piping. That much closer to being able to swap the bigger turbo in too.

Not sure what conclusion others have come to, but for me.... They don't fit. Simple as that. The only offerings out there currently are Ireland engineering and shmiedmann (deff didn't spell that right.) Both are for E34s and they're basically the same. I have heard that bav auto long tubes will fit with slight modification and Treehouse racing lollipops. F3AR here on Rev, modified some M50 headers to fit on his car. I was going to have him make me a set but that ended up not working out. I have a set of used, really poor condition Sthal long tubes I got for $50, but I just couldn't get them to clear my mounts control arm bushing lollipops and firewall. They hit everything... I think if someone made some sub $300 headers, short or long tubes, specifically for M30 E30s, they'd sell like hotcakes. M30 swaps are very popular, for good reason. M30s are fkn awesome. It sucks cause I put some much effort into increasing engine output on my car but can't put headers on it. That's like the #1 performance mod for an NA engine... When I have the money, I'm going to cough up the $1000 (or more) to get a set of really nice custom long tubes made using my sthal's as a template.

Totheredline has it right. I installed Ireland engineering headers and required a bit of coaxing, cutting, and change of some angles at the collector but it worked out. So they can be installed but they need to get cut up.

I cut up my (once $700) Sthal Headers trying to get them to fit. Lol

The Bavauto headers I used did not require the treehouse style CABs. They have plenty of clearance there with the stock ones. All they needed was a small protrusion at the back of the block ground down a bit and the usual firewall "massaging".

So I am planning on using Schmeidmann headers on m90 rebuild. They look like exact copies of the IE ones, but with nicer welds.

There is a definite fitment issue with the mounts.

Luckily I know a guy who does some bad ass metal work, and happens to be an awesome bloke and one of my best friends. I planned to have him fab up mount arms anyway, but with that hiccup, he took it all a step further. I wont be building this motor up and bolting on stock exhaust manifolds, so...

Wow, that's insane. Nice work there on that subframe.

Very nice work on those mounts. Those headers are attractive. I can see you selling a few of these if your into that. How is the header fit at the collectors?

The collectors will be cut and reshaped, otherwise they would run right into the passenger footwell. Its not a big deal, they were nearly straight out, they will be radiused down and TIG welded to clear everything properly with no bashing or reshaping of the tunnel needed.

The mounts and subframe take about 20-25 hours of labor to make. He is only doing a few sets as the price tag is higher than most would pay. But on this kind of build, headers are a must, so the work gets done to fit them.

Is that an E28 trans brace? I ended up using a standard E30 steel one. Why did you settle on that one?

                                Looks like he's running a g265 with an e30 m3 trans brace.
