Yes, so happy with the power. More than enough to get me in serious trouble. I constantly have to exercise restraint while driving it. XD= Heidi 1988 325 -> 335i. 7200rpm built M30Comment

Totheredline has it right. I installed Ireland engineering headers and required a bit of coaxing, cutting, and change of some angles at the collector but it worked out. So they can be installed but they need to get cut up.

The Bavauto headers I used did not require the treehouse style CABs. They have plenty of clearance there with the stock ones. All they needed was a small protrusion at the back of the block ground down a bit and the usual firewall "massaging".Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. -Mark TwainComment

There is a definite fitment issue with the mounts.
Luckily I know a guy who does some bad ass metal work, and happens to be an awesome bloke and one of my best friends. I planned to have him fab up mount arms anyway, but with that hiccup, he took it all a step further. I wont be building this motor up and bolting on stock exhaust manifolds, so...

Wow, that's insane. Nice work there on that subframe.

Very nice work on those mounts. Those headers are attractive. I can see you selling a few of these if your into that. How is the header fit at the collectors?Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. -Mark TwainComment

The collectors will be cut and reshaped, otherwise they would run right into the passenger footwell. Its not a big deal, they were nearly straight out, they will be radiused down and TIG welded to clear everything properly with no bashing or reshaping of the tunnel needed.
The mounts and subframe take about 20-25 hours of labor to make. He is only doing a few sets as the price tag is higher than most would pay. But on this kind of build, headers are a must, so the work gets done to fit them.sigpicComment
