Nice! Are you planning on running the fan clutch somehow? What mounts are you going to run?

Excellent. It's been a little while since someone did one and documented it, hasn't it?

I don't think there is much you can do to install a clutch fan, unless you use an e30 324td fan, which has a very slim profile.

Congrats on the swap choice, you'll love the M30 torque at ANY RPM.

Not to double post, but you might wanna think of a SPAL fan in FRONT of the radiator.

It's provided all the cooling I ever needed, even in July NYC traffic.

+1. I don't have mine on a therm-switch yet, so I switch it on manually. It never needs to come on unless I'm in stitting traffic.

The "swirlie" blade ones are quieter - but it really doesn't make a difference in these old, loud cars.

+2. Using late model a/c fan, switch it on manually to 1/2 speed when in traffic.

ac fan works great like said already, i gotta set mine up for half speed cause it is very loud and worries me its spinning too fast

I got some of the last mounts Funkmasta made.

You can't run a mechanical fan from what I have seen and read. So it probably will be an electrical fan controlled by a thermoswitch. Don't want to deal with remembering to manually turn it on.

We'll see if the AC fan or an SPAL. Cost might be a deciding factor.
