No real updates, waiting to get a cam figured out, plus been busy making manifolds, updating the cars front end and re-wiring.

We should organize some kind of G2G to help each-other finish our own cars :)

I'm down to help things move along on your project, as I could use some motivation as well

About five years ago this same pump was only $130.. total bullshit.

Metric Mechanic do thier rebuilt M30 oil pump special for $500.00 im sending my core to them!
I have my block out getting the water jacket extrude honed. Then to work on cc'ing to get the correct head gasket. As far as cam profiles go, I feel your pain. I had mine custom ground at a company in Pukekohe, New Zealand called Franklin Cams. (Big e28 crowd down there) if I were to do it again I would stay State side and use Jim at the Metric Mechanic.
Anyway, looking forward to any updates from you. Happy 4th!.

Finally some updates..!! Finally finished porting the head and had it re-surfaced for MLS. Machined .017 to get flat and true. I have gathered all the parts to assemble the head, more updates to follow.

Only ported top of the exhaust section raising it 1/4".

Don't want to hijack this thread, so briefly. It's all about turbulence. Custom head by metric mechanic.
Really great this build is continuing OP.

We are looking forward to updates particularly myself with mine in parts.

What sort of grind are you getting OP?
