The K20A2/K20Z1 (02-04 RSX-S and 05-06 RSX-S) have the best flowing heads of the bunch. The K24A2 is next best (02-08 I think TSX).

The bottom ends of the K20A2/K20Z1 are the best for higher RPMs. The K24A2 can spin pretty high as well with an oil pump upgrade.

Most guys are taking one of the K24 bottom ends and putting the K20A2/K20Z1 heads on them for the best off the shelf OEM 2.4 liter combination.

good to know. i would sacrifice some rpm for some low down power.

how are you accounting for the size difference between the k20 and k24? there's ~20mm more height on the k24 on the deck height. will the k24 just hang that much lower or is there enough clearance to the hood that it doesn't matter?

also I know exhaust would be custom but it's also move the manifold up

I could be wrong, but I think the extra block height will be ABOVE the mounts rather than the motor hanging lower.

you're not wrong. I was more wondering if the hood clearance is there to keep the same mounts. if it is then no biggie but if it's not I assume they'd have to have separate parts

What's the advantage of this combination over just buying an f20c/f22c1? Seems like the f series motor is ready to go, right?

Edit: In case anyone is wondering, it's cost. Apparently f series motors are $2-5k. Wtf.

Yes F20c's cost more but it depends on how much the tranny adapter is going to cost. Plus the F20 is good to go out of the box while K20/24 need parts and tuning. Another plus for the F20 is you get the Honda tranny which is miles ahead of the ZF or 260. I am holding out on kit pricing to see which route to go.

I'm not familiar with f20 swaps, are they common?
