Huh?
You dropped the pistons down before you put the crank in?

Did you get my PM about the Pan and pump?Comment

Oh man. This is exactly the thread I've been looking for. ...But, the instructions do me no good if I don't have the parts.
I had a question about tranny's. Will the 260 from an M20 work with the M30? What transmissions will work with the M30? Just asking so I can look for one because I doubt I'll find the two pieces together.
I can't wait to do mine. Anybody wanna help me look for the parts?sigpic
Been over a year and it still doesn't the other motor mount made...Comment

I'm going to be rebuilding my m30 again because of bad pistons rings. I'm curious as to what i can do as far as stroking it or building it up a little bit while I have everything apart. I know there are ways to get 3.9L I just dont know exactly how...'86 E30

Ok,to highjack and hopefully get some answers...
This is my engine harness plug for my 1984 jetronic e30 323i:
I'm not sure how I'm going to wire my m30b35 from a motronic e34 (engine was an auto):
Anyone shed some light?///Monstrosity. (OO≡≡[][]≡≡OO)

http://www.jaredsquires.com/ndp/335i/m30/page13.html To be honest from what I have been told the auto harness is a pain in the ass to adapt. And for my swap we used the entire 535i harness(however mine was a 260/5 originally).Comment

What engine harness would you recommend for my 1984 323i e30? Could I just cut and splice into my original square chassis plug? I didn't think I was going to use my auto harness anyway, whats the differance between the manual and auto m30 harness?
Thanks for the response!///Monstrosity. (OO≡≡[][]≡≡OO)
