the b34 is def a low rev, grunty motor, but thats what makes it fun... 2nd gear drifts FTW

that's cuz your not looking in the right place, I have one...
might sell it or can get you with the person with another...

The b35 is slightly less revvy then the b25.
    Slightly.

The b34 is the one that's kinda a low revver.

The d'sylva chip is awesome, car hauls, of course it hauled with just the m30 but the chip definitely makes a solidly noticeable difference.

Pretty nicely, I have an e12 flywheel too. With the 290 it definitely feels much much stronger @ 5k+ RPMS. Definitely not a low RPM motor, no

Not with just megasquirt. My motor has m90 pistons, shaved head, 290 cam, etc it should make ~215-225 whp with ms.

Sort of depends on the year of your car too. The early cars from '84 to '86 are listed at around 2400lbs for a 318i and 2650lbs for an eta (not scientific, just rounded those numbers from memory). So if you take a 2650lb eta, remove 80lbs of AC stuff, and add 57lbs more motor you wind up with a car that weighs about the same as stock, assuming that a Getrag 265 weighs a bit more than a 260.

I think that the weight figure is actually a tiny bit higher. you have the bigger M30 engine and the tranny is also heavier...

It depends if you want AC also, not sure if that includes the curb weight.

    Torque: 237ft/lbs @ 4000rpm
    Curb weight: 2904lbs
    0-60: 6.0 seconds
    0-100: 15.8 seconds
    1/4 mile: 14.4 seconds @ 96.3mph
Top speed: 152mph (M3 body, might be close with a standard E30 body)

    Another test has these numbers:
    Horsepower: 260hp @ 6000rpm
    Torque: 237ft/lbs @ 4000rpm
    0-60: 5.9 seconds
    0-100: 15.6 seconds
    1/4 mile: 14.2 seconds @ 97mph
    Top speed: 155mph

I think it's safe to say that most of the 335is on this board should be somewhere between the specs of the B6 2.8 and the B6 3.5, except for Franks turbo devil car which should destroy them both

Obviously gearing is a big performance booster. I couldn't believe that the B6 3.5 had a 2.79 diff, that's crazy. With a 3.25 you could probably knock a ton off of those acceleration figures and still hit 150mph with the right sized tires.
How accurate is this weight figure (Curb weight: 2904lbs) for an e30 ?

D'Sylva is what I hear the E28 guys raving about in their B34s and swapped B35 cars. Apparently on the B34 a D'Sylva chip gains you like 25hp. I don't know the numbers for the B35, but I can only assume its a similar gain because the head flows much better, the cam is hotter, and it's got higher compression. I don' have any first hand experience because all my cars have oooooooold M30s with ooooooooold electronics!

Edit: I'm bringing home another Euro 635CSi this month or early next month. Euro motors FTW!!

Euroshark, you seem to know quite a bit about the m30 breed. Do you have a recomended chip maker? EAT seems to be what the e34 guys like - do you have any advice?

I did a 14.4 1/4 in my Touring last year, but it could be a bit quicker as it weighs 2860lbs or 1300kgs, mind i could do with losing a few pounds too ! :-)

Should be better this year once it's been mapped.
