the e28 guys all run his (MarkD) chip or the Miller Maf and War Chip...Leave a comment:

i highly recommend mark d'sylva. if his site is lacking, trust me it's just the site, not his chips or knowledge. i like his chip the best of any on an m20. conforti would also be fine. lurk around m30-powered car forums to see what those guys are running.ETs as in 1/4 mile time?
back to the d´sylva chip subject, their website is not very informative in that matter. It only claims to allow the engine to rev up to 6.8K. Does not mention speed limit removed or hp gains.
What about Jim Conforti (turner) ?
and eBay? I kinda know what you´re going to say "you get what you pay for..."
In this type of upgrade I can only think of them as "works as advertised" ....or doesn´t....maybe someone tried them with good results.Leave a comment:

I'd honestly go for something lower than 3.73, although my car is a stop light ROCKET, it kinda is unsatisfying in 3rd gear runs, but if you're looking to kick alot of cars asses at stop lights 3.73 is a good choice. Get r Done, beating 5.0s in an e30 is very, very satisfying.this thread makes me want to get my car done so much sooner, i will be running a 265 tranny and wouldnt mind some aggressive gearing, more so then I have seen on here. Eventually I will up grade mine to a big valve head with a cam, then drop in my m90 rotating assembly.
My e30 will not be for top end speed so i dont mind losing that, my e46 m3 satisfy s those cravings, 155 comes up like nothing in that
3.73 diff, I'm not particularly nice to it, and its chipped with magnaflow high flow, with a small leak before the cat in the flange. No extreme mods, I'm doin' 23 on the highway at 79mph, following about 10 cars behing another, so I don't know what the issue is, highway is no issue, city is crap. I also do alot of up and down hills though. Toyo proxes 4's are pretty sticky too saw about -1mpg after install.Leave a comment:

For what it's worth my e28 with a 3.25 diff got between 28-30 mpg. The e30 is even lighter so if the setup is the same you should be able to get at least that level of economy. I'm guessing the low numbers are either a modified car (shorter diff perhaps?) and / or a heavy foot.Leave a comment:

Is this with a stock m30? 12 seems kind of low unless it balls to the wall all the time. I thought I had read some people were seeing low 20's in stock form in an E30.Leave a comment:

Over M50NV yes (was not impressed with one), M50Vanos depends if it's all stock or if you upgrade it with better cams. If I was going to do a 24v it would have to be at least an m52 imho.
Do whatever you like or available to you :)Leave a comment:
