Repainted the Spark Plug cover as a rainy day project. Then cleaned up everything a little bit.

So excited she's back together and driveable. Now if only we could get some sun!!!!!

I made mine from scratch. The rest have all been Dbilas set-ups.

I'm not sure where this "everyone" part is, as it's a pretty uncommon kit. The kit is from Dbilas-dynamic, in Germany.

I picked mine off of a forum member, however. They are 45mm TB's, and are plug and play. All you have to do is modify the fuel rail, re-route the coolant and vacuum hoses, and swap in their computer chip.

Modify fuel rail? How so? dBilas said nothing to me about modding the fuel rail...

if you're local and want to check it out, feel free to stop by. You have to modify the two tubes that go into the fuel rail, as in you have to bend them because they hit the intake manifold.

You need alot of time, the best way is to unmount the valve cover and intake manifold, and let it sandblastet or so, it will look like brand new.
However, I did not want to spend the money for that, back then, meaning I cleaned it by hand with the following way.

I used Ako Pads combined with alot of water at first.
                      For example:

Use gloves for your hands, otherwise your skin will be fucked in the end of the day.
Then rub those Pads over the surface with pressure, it will take a free day to get it that clean, atleast it took some hours for me.
Later I used sandpaper and finally alot of water to clean it all up.
Because after you used some Ako Pads, your engine will look like a grey swamp. :-D
It is really hard work and it will look clean, but not like new.
I also used the Ako pads on the car itself in the engine bay, it was yellowish as you can see, so I did rub it all over the metal and it became silver shiny again. :-)

Will do. If you want, I can bring my emulator down once I get things sorted out and try to get you a better "car specific" tune made up ;) sometime around May probably.

did your sanding and such get rid of the "texture" of the valve cover and intake manifold? i used a little sandpaper on the intake and it smoothed it down.
if so what grit did you use?
if i have a free day sometimes and the will i'll try this.

Sanding was not so well yes.
Just use those Ako Pads (combined with water!!, not dry), they work perfect to get all the yellowish stuff of.
You just need some, but there are always a few in a package.
They dont destroy the surface or anything, they work good.
