    Cheap/Awesome Electric Fan

I wired this up to my thermoswitch. Kicks on when the front aux fan goes on low speed.

Bought it on eBay for $55 shipped. Comes with a through-core mounting kit. "Champion" brand or something like that. I searched for "Spal 16in" and it came up.

    2500CFM.
Fits perfectly on my M42 radiator and cools it down FAST. I tested it at idle when it was 83F today. Works like a charm.

I mounted one in an old Bronco a few years back. The only change I would make would be to buy two strips of steel or aluminum (3/4"x1/8"x24") and mount the top and bottom of the strips to the lips on the radiator. Then using flat machine screws, mount the fan to the strips. This will keep the "through-core" mounts from rubbing on the cooling fins and wearing a hole.

Have you looked into m44 elec fan? I found one at a junk yard for like $15, plug-n-play and holy $hit it moves air.

Finding an m44 in a yard is next to impossible. At least around here.
