Good place to buy a rebuilt e30 m42 compressor?

Pretty much as the title states..

Trying to find a decent affordable rebuilt AC compressor. Or if anybody has one in decent shape they want to sell.

    All suggestions appreciated.

And no, I'm no deleting it. I'm trying to keep my dog cool haha

You can get a remanufactured four seasons unit for $296 on rockauto (less after $25 core). That's reasonable for an AC compressor.

Not sure what is affordable to you, but autohausAZ has a new Denso (stock on most M42s I've seen) for $214.44, and it would ship for free.

Those are exactly the options I was looking for!

I should have been more clear about what "affordable" was to me haha but anything under $300 sounds incredible to me haha

        Thanks guys!

                I bought this, http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...C%20Compressor

It looked identical to the one I pulled out. Put it in, threw a new belt on, some r12 and oil charge and she's been blowing cold. My dog is pleased.

$210 for a Denso 10P17AC from partsgeek.com. Shipped fast, had R134 stamped on it and came with the right pulley for an M42. Installed OK, but mechanic is temporarily stumped as this new unit is blowing fuses much the same as the older unit before.

You have a short somewhere - perhaps change out your A/C switch. Is the fuse in question the same fuse that gives power to the gauges as well?
