I had a very strange issue with WARM starting. If the engine was cold, or hot, it was fine, but lets say I ran the car for an hour, and went inside to eat for 30 minutes, and then came back out, the car would not start. I tried various things but nothing worked. Finally one day it would not restart after putting gas into it. I called a tow truck, but after 40 minutes of waiting for a tow the engine cooled sufficiently and it started. I drove it to the mechanic and told them what was up. As I recall, it took a few tried, but it turned out to be a camshaft position sensor that was the problem. Since replacing that part, I've never had a single starting issue. I dunno if this helps, but I figure it couldn't hurt.E30 M52B28
