The clip connecting the selector rod and the lever popped off a few weeks ago. TODAY at work, the one on the other end of the rod came off. I'm trapped at work. YAY.
The extra effort and having to jam the Z4 3.0 into gears put extra stress on the clips I think.
same thing happened to me but theres an easy fix for this ( beneficial for ALL shifter installations ) what you do is replace this
with a regular circlip
to clarify...
replace 12 with 16

I like the E46 330i lever. 4.18 ratio and the top is bent toward the driver and to the rear like the OEM and Z3 1.9. The ratio is quick, not too notchy, and a bit taller and closer to the driver.
