I've been drifting my e30 for a while now and it seems like I go through guibos almost every six months, not to the point where the car is not drivable but to the point where I can feel the drive shaft vibrate coming out of stop signs and red lights. My question is....Is there a performance guibo or something that would make it last a lot longer or handle a beating. Thanks any info would be appreciated.

Maybe it's not those two but your driveshaft is bent or unbalanced. Consider sourcing another driveshaft, swap it and see if that fixes the problem.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Are you running a 24v swap? The first trans brace I was using had the rear of the trans sitting a little high. The Guibo was seeing excessive flex and wearing quickly.S50'd

Are you installing the guibo the right way? It's designed to take more twisting force in one direction than the other. If there is one early failure, this is usually it, somehow I doubt you installed 3 or however many guibos incorrectly that many times. But it's worth double checking.-------------------------------------------------

make sure it's realy a BMW guibo. believe it or not, there are fake ones out there, and the quality is much poorer.
I ended up with one that is definitely a fake; the rubber casting is really porous, the surface has a really odd texture to it, it has a giant "made in germany" spray painted stamp on it (that I've never seen on any real BMW parts) and the BMW serial #s and logos are scratched off the mold. I got it from a warehouse that was liquidating it's old BMW parts for about $5. I'm not going to use it.
there's no reason for you to be breaking multiple guibos. you aren't the first guy to drift an E30. installing it backwards could be a factor too (done that, it lasted only 160 miles before it totally shredded).
