Need help with rear diff output shaft seal.

Anyone know how I can find out the part number of the diff output shaft seals? I've tried looking them up on realoem, but when I ordered part number 33107505602, the inside diameter is too large. I'm guessing the diff has been swapped at some point, but not sure from what. Im pretty sure it's the smaller case.

Look on the seal itself. Usually there are numbers that will directly
translate into ID, OD and thickness in mm's.

Then you can reverse that into realoem, search the internetty pots, or just go to your local bearing house...

You really need to know what diff you have and if it's not the one that came with the car, what its off of.

They need to be 33-34mm for the center diameter. Unfortunately I don't have old seals to get the part numbers off of. Not sure how to find out what diff it is.

I know someone has a small case sitting around that can pop the axel out and send me a pick of the part number. I'm begging!!! I will gladly pay you for your time.

            Thanks, Mark

If your diff's out and apart, use your trusty $15 Harbor Freight calipers and measure
the flange shoulder dimension and the inside of the case, and there you go.
If you measure the depth of the case indent, that'll even give you the thickness number.

if you can't get an answer, bump this thread next week, Monday or Tues, and I'll
try to go digging in the shed. They're at the bottom, but I owe Bill and Greg some parts, too.

Go to realoem and input an 84 318i and get the PN off a small case
