Hi, quick question. What are you guys using for bolts for a single mass FW on a m20? According to realOEM they are disc.

Only due to length. The auto bolts are 3mm longer at 28mm and can be used fine; its the same bolt bmw pretty much use in all their autos, right up to the current generation. I think they have simply used the same bolts for both now and discontinued the manual/single mass ones. 11227805885 should help you out if going direct.

click on the p/n in real oem and it tells you the p/n that supersedes it many cases

i believe s14 bolts from ARP fit if you get the 28mm length ones not the 22mm....you gotta add your own loctite though

Thanks for the help. It also looks like you need that metal spacer so I'm thinking the auto one should work fine? That would also help than A some length off the bolts if I decide to use the longer auto bolts.

Not sure if it helps, but here is a height comparison between auto and 5-speed gall spacers

If you use loctite, be extremely sparse on the application. You do NOT want it to get anywhere near the head of the bolt when its torqued down.
