I think the brake booster may get in the way.

I'm assuming that I'd have to get motor mounts made.

Just make the end plates, and then tack-weld them in the car. It's a PITA, but not un-doable.

just daliy driving, Cost is some what of a factor. LSx motors are (in the words of Richard Hammond) "jolly expensive." An LT1 should be a whole hell of alot cheaper and easier to find.

Also with the LT1's the ones out of f-Bodys and Vettes are aluminum head engines unlike the ones in the B-body cars that have cast iron heads.

How much more can the LT1 weigh vs the M20? I know it'll be more but how much more.

LSx is not that insane in comparo. I wouldn't waste time with an LT1, there are more go fast parts out there at low used prices for the multi year LSx as opposed to the short run LT1.

The LT1 weighs (somewhere around 530) around 100 more lbs then the LS1. But that is with everything on it. The LT1 can be made to run right with LS1's but most people just chose to do the LSx cause its the newest and most aftermarket support out there. And makes good power. Also if you do an LT1, they sound better :p. Although nither engine is "cheap" to mod.

The LT will be "cheaper" Than the LS, plus easier to find. What about the diff, Will that need to be changed or modified. I would imagine not but I may be wrong.

I dont know what the final drive of the tremic but you may want to change gearing if the cars going to be a driver. The diff will handle what a stock lt motor has to put out

I'm assuming that you've to get your car from the factory and not try to start a swap like V8 swap if you don't even have an idea of suitable gearboxes or brake booster setups.

It's all been done, most of the swaps tens of times and all the info you need to know is there on the internet..
