I was going to ask if you had photos of the headers...

For comparison, my Fiero weighs just a hair under 2900, had 255 RWHP and ran 12.86 @ 106 with 1.92 sixty.

Got back to the track last night, after getting my car straightened out finally. I'm now running a Mark D chip, which fixed all of my issues. Unfortunately, it was so full that I only got 2 runs in. My second run was good, my best 60' to date, but the trap speed still seems a little low (although they are better then they were with the bad chip). It may be my 2.93 gearing. I'm shifting into fourth right before the line.

I also re-weighed my car. Last time it was 2680. This time it was 2780. Both times were a half tank, spare tire and jack still in the trunk, without me in the car. Not sure what's up with that. This is an NHRA track, so it should be calibrated frequently. Anyway, my car was 2945 last night with me in it, if the scale was correct.

I'd also like to point out that a 1.92 60' feels amazing. It's a lot different then a 2.0-2.1. It throws you back in the seat hard, I wasn't ready for it at all. I can't imagine these guys pulling off 1.5-1.6 or even better, that must feel awesome haha.

Thumbs up! Getting a really good 60ft does wonders as you said! Maybe I'll contact Mark D for my chip as well ! How do you like it?

Is there a race shop near-by with corner-weight scales? Maybe take your car there instead to get the weight measured... :)

That's what I did with mine when it tipped the scales at 250x with half a tank .

with 2780lb no driver that trapspeed shows 250-260bhp as a ballpark number which might not be far off what a stock M60 with decent miles on it makes?

At the strip now. Car is 2820lbs without me. I'm 150lbs.

            M60b44 hybrid running 404 DME with normal m60 Mark D tune. 3.25 LSD and 235/40/17 sumitumo HTRZII's.

            Best so far is 13.099@107.21 with a 2.018 60'.

            Previous best was 13.28@103.5 with a 1.94 60' with the m60b40/2.93 LSD

It's good for a 12.9. I just stripped 60+lbs of crap, I'm going back out now and going for it!

EDIT: Did not hit 12's. Bummer.

Get some 15s or 16s with sticky tires and taller sidewalls out back for the strip and you should do a lot better

My e30 m60b40 swap did a 9.1 at 81 mph in the 1/8, was kinda disappointed because the car feels much faster. I'm running the 5spd 320 zf with a 3.15 torsen diff and it feels like i'm always shifting. my 3rd gear red lines at 75 mph. I have to shift into fourth before i reach the finish line. I'm going to try to take it to a 1/4 mile since i should be able to keep it in fourth for the extra 1/8. I don't have a tach setup right now, I just know what speed the engine cuts so i shift right before that speed.
