So earlier this morning I took the J-N-C out for a spin. There is a local meet about 5min's from my house and on the way there J-n-C through the center shaft bearing..ugg
So i turned around and babied it home.. lol all of a mile...
Drive shaft is out and all is well, just waiting on the replacement part so I can put it all back together. Thinking i'm going to check my motor/trans alignment with the chassis cause the bearing wasn't bad...
I'm thinking it maybe the rigidness of the revshift gibo i'm running...ughhttps://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar...re-irs.356333/

Also I wanted to weight it as well which add to that nice throw feel so I built my shift arm myself it has an awesome weight and throw feel. Its further back in my build but it you look it show how i built it and has -NO- slop
every shift is a perfect click- click. It's one of my favorite mods to date... :pimp:https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar...re-irs.356333/

Ok so I have fully rebuilt the drive shaft and revshift guibo.
and all back together. I will take it for a test drive this sunday hopefully make to the little bimmer meet down the street.
But.... ugh I think i may have just f-cked myself or at least my temp gauge.
Ok so my gauge hasn't been showing any temp. even after installing the M20 temp sender. Come to find out (my fault) i have plugged the wrong plugs into the wrong sending unit. But while having it all apart i thought I would be cool and test it all to see if it works....
So I mistakenly put a hot wire to the sending plug that sends info to the gauge. Now the gauge jumps to HOT when the key is turned. even if the plug is unplugged. no matter what...
What did i just f-up? ugh...
I'm kinda at a loss as to what to do now.. :(https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar...re-irs.356333/

The sensor is grounded via it's mounting location, and works by resistance. If you unplug the sensor, the gauge should go to full cold. If you ground the wire going to the gauge, it should go to full hot. So it sounds like you are somehow grounding the wire to the gauge. Check for continuity between chassis ground, and the pin on the connector that goes to the gauge. That would prove you are grounding it. Also check resistance between chassis ground and the pin on the sensor, to prove the sensor is functioning.
There are two wires on the m60 harness for the temp sensor, both of which go to the x20. But the m20 temp sensor is a single pin sensor, unlike the dual pin m60 sensor. Make sure you have the correct wire feeding the c101 connector.Last edited by JGood; 02-04-2015, 05:46 AM.Comment
