Bear with me cause the paper is a bit soaked in oil n transparent.

^^in this photo these are steps #1 & #2 which are turn car on, LISTEN and do not step on gas. (#2) listen to engine, if your happy (smiley face) then your done. If your not (frown face) the move on to step 3...

3: hold gas pedal between 2-3 rpm for 4mins, #4 then let idle for 30sec
5:listen to engine if happy then done, if not move on too step 6 which is...step 3 repeated x5.

So my new tensioners and lifters have came.

So this is what $670.00 dollars looks like

The rest are in the oil bin. Also you guys would love the break in process procedure that comes with the lifters hahaha no words just pictures of smiley faces and frowns. Next is get more timing components out of another 4.0 and I can do timing and continue on with dropping this thing in and TURNING THE KEY!Leave a comment:

Your argument is invalid. Just this weekend I saw you toss my 160lb friend across the street... Also you play with 300lb tires all day for fun you big baffoon.Leave a comment:

Did more work today on the motor, replaced the coolant U-shaped gasket on the back of the motor
Put on Garagistic motor mount arms
Left my injectors in parts cleaner for about 2weeks and they cleaned up great, removed all the O-rings n will be buying new ones soon.
Still waiting on tensioners to come in so that I can put the motor in timing and finally take it off the stand and do the rear main seal and also put the clutch n tranny on. Which I bye ordered the wrong sized tranny seals :-/ so that will have to wait till next week along with other things along with the dreadful purchase of the lifters.Last edited by driftingminor913; 05-31-2013, 01:21 PM.Leave a comment:

Yeah they didn't such a good job cleaning them but I'm not really worried about that:-/Leave a comment:

Nice progress! Make sure to torque the knock sensors to spec as well. Did the machine shop not clean the heads when they rebuild them, look a bit stained :)Leave a comment:

So I was a little busy today, got off work early due to weather and thought I go ahead an accomplish this today... And then i remember why I don't like rebuilding engines, Head torque blows!!!

I like how it's looking so far...

Now what to do for the gasket that's in between the upper timing covers, probably going to cut up some 4.0 headgaskets or something. Idk I will think of somethingLeave a comment:
