I learned to drive in a '75 Datsun with 4.3 V8 from a '95 Caprice with Saginaw 4 speed + Borg Warner overdrive that my dad built.
I have an '87 Pontiac Fiero with a built Caddy Northstar engine... 4.6 liters and 312 HP at the wheels right now... setting up for cam upgrades, ported heads, upgraded manifold and more.
I'm also building an E30 S62 AWD, but still collecting parts.Comment

Auto harness do
For the alternator? Cause I still have my M62 alternator on it but I don't have the 3-pin plug on my harness, just a ring terminal wire that is BLUE/BRWN
I looked up new alternators and none of them have a plug on the back just one for power and a couple of other studs on the back...? I'm kinda drawing a blank, alternator has power but where do I get the signal for letting the DME know it's charging and what regulates the voltage if there is no plugs?? ConfussssseddComment

The larger prong is the constant +pos from battier via the starter constant, and I'm guessing that the small prong is the feed to the dme.
we have no Plug on our harness so I wouldn't sweat it.. My take on it is if the Alt doesn't charge then I'll swap it out for an older 94-95 alt...https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar...re-irs.356333/

Okay cool, and I think the further I looked into it that there are different designs, where the OBD2 Alts have those 3 pin plugs and the power stud. Where as the older ones just have the power stud an a smaller stud for the signal to
The DME an I guess the regulator is just built inside.Comment

Got the correct alternator, everything fitted perfectly, now on the hunt for a throttle cable cause apparently world pack doesn't supply them? But others the that and it snowing it's ass of in KS just need to put the radiator I and bleed coolant and go for a drive :-)Comment
