Lol no I made them from an aluminum blank. I'll probably get those fender washers that Justin was talking about though

        This makes me sad :(

The aluminum blank is probably OK to use, no need for fender washers if the metal you used covers the surface area of the mount well enough.

Ok I got the engine mounted properly using the correct m60 mounts and a few washers

Got the heater lines and reservoir hooked up

          Got the shifter linkage fixed

Almost done with the cooling.. Just trying to find a solution to the oil filter/upper rad hose problem

I´m having a plate CNC´d to fit the block with AN10 fittings for the oil filter/cooler. It'll be a bolt on solution, much cleaner than the OEM/modified OEM stuff. I should have it in a week or so, I'll post some pics when I have it :D BTW, the gold foil looks good! ;)

Solved the oil filter housing mounting

Got most of the wiring done..

Shifter is in and feels awesome!

There will be some burnout vids, don't worry. Maybe even 3rd gear burnouts considering I'm running a 3.73 open diff and cheap tires. This is all assuming my ebay m52 clutch holds up..

you might not want to do burnouts right away because it usually good to let the clutch/drivetrain to settle in for at least a couple hundred miles

Yea that clutch manufacturer recommends a 500 mile break in period..this is going to be very difficult

haha yeah you've got no idea how difficult that really is :)

I have a SPEC Stage 3 in my Northstar Fiero. I decided I'd rather break in the new engine and worry about the clutch later, so I beat it hard from the first start. The first time I hit a 1-2 shift hard I smelled slipping clutch and it's chattered ever since, despite now holding very well.

                          Convincing? ;)

The 500 miles are a bit annoying, I had to break in my spec stage 3 last summer.

Changing out a clutch on a v8 fiero sounds suicidal. I assume you have to drop the whole drivetrain out from the bottom to do it?

Besides, his engine isn't rebuilt (or is it? didn't think it was anyway) so no need to break in.

Yeah, it's not fun. It basically requires an overhead hoist. A cherry picker won't cut the mustard.

Yeah, I don't think OP's engine was overhauled... just saying that it's a good idea to observe the clutch break-in. ;)
