Just got around to seeing this. It is a 97 motor so no vanos, just a tad more displacement.

I look forward to checking out the car at the Vintage!

Rod bearings done just for peace of mind and oil pump seals and chain. The old ones did not look bad at all

Heads are back from the machine shop. Got them tanked and decked

Did you use the stock m62 oil pump?

Can't wait to see what this beast makes! The cams set to a high end alignment probably leads to similar head flow to S62, and the ITBs and headers are the same, might just end up pulling the same too.

Yeah it's the m62 pump with a modified oil separator line that runs down to it

Spent a good 5 hours taking apart all 32 lifters and cleaning them out [emoji3][emoji379]

                        And finally..heads are on!

Had to wait 3 weeks for one of the timing guides but they are all on now..never times a chain engine much less a quad cam BMW V8 so hope I did it right [emoji16]

Had to heat and bend the m60 oil return line to work with the 62 pump

Hi Jack, when are hoping to have this running?

Have you contacted my friend about the ITB adaptors? Do you plan to run factory can timing?

Isn't there an oil gallery on the M62 block where the M60 idler sprocket bolts up that needs to be plugged for this swap?

IE, if it doesn't get plugged, it's just dumping oil intended for the valvetrain into the timing cover?
