Efficiency: LS3
Fit: LS3
Weight: LS3
Aftermaket Support: LS3

Winner?
This is all true. But with the LS3 vs S62, the performance is marginal enough that id rather have the power band and revs of the S62. But if it were my dollar, I'd have the LS3, because an S62 swap is hella more expensive.

How high can you safely shift a stock s62? an LS3 can be shifted at 7k rpm safely, I shift my ls1 at 7k at least once month (with ls6 cam).
S62 redline is rated at 7000. LS1s have a factory cutoff of 6200, but people spin them to 7200 with no problems with a quick ecu flash.
A lot of people get surprised when I let them know that I shift at 7k rpm, most people think that the ls1 redline is 5k rpm...haha. of course, if I had the stock cam I would be shifting at 6k rpm.
