    Hood removal

    Hi,
I started the process of timing belt replacement and want to remove the hood for easier access.
everyone says disconnect the washer hose but I don’t see how plus I have wiring going to the hood.
how do I disconnect the washer hose AND the wiring to be able to remove the hood?thank You

You can keep hood on. Its not that bad.

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

It’s removed had to disconnect the wires and the line from the source.
      Hood is out.
i have removed components up to the water pump and while removing the water pump this pin fell off.
i didn’t see from where and in none of the instructions I see this pin.
can someone advise what is this pin for?

Fairly certain that is the timing tensioner pin. Part 19 on this diagram. Please keep updating this, I need to know how this job turns out.

          Thank you.
so far running good all parts coming off nicely.
It looks like I might have avoided catastrophe, as the timing belt looks old. I bought the car last fall and drove it for about 200km before doing all the maintenance.
          More updates to follow.
