I am still using the original E30 charcoal canister and EVAP valve in my swap car.
The valve is controlled by my standalone ECU.
Previously I had it energized when RPM < 2000 and TPS > 15.
Although I never have fuel smell issues, I recently opened this window up to RPM < 2500 and TPS > 5.
My thought was to burn off accumulated fuel in the canister at the least obtrusive time. Obviously this means keeping it closed in boost. But should it be open under normal driving and in cruise?
Does anyone know how the valve is controlled from the factory M52B28 ECU?
Cheers!
