aux fan wont run on high

my old aux fan died and was replaced. it works on low speed fine but not high speed when jumping the rad temp switch (dual temp version).

i have checked pin 30 is hot at K6 relay and it is just like K1

The relay itslelf works tested several relays in fact, and can here them click when jumping the rad temp switch

The issue is there is no power getting to fuse 18 from K6-pin 87. how do i get into the fuse box to check ? it looks like some kind of circuit board and access is non exsistant

i suspect when the 30A fuse when fan failed it took out the connection between the fuse and pin87 of relay K6

You can split the fusebox and check the internals. Before you do that though I would inspect everything else first. You know the fan is good and just not getting full 12v for some reason so trace the wiring back to the fuse box...it could be a broken wire.

i applied 12V to fuse 18 and the fan runs so the wiring seems good

pretty certain it is the connection between K6 pin 87 and fuse 18?

Hey Digger. From my foggy memory...did you try jumping 12v to the fan side of the resistor as that wire goes directly to the fan.

i jumped a12V fused sourced to the fuse box (fuse 18) (i.e. up stream of resistor not that the resistor is relevant for the high speed) and it worked so everything downstream of the fusebox is sweet, i realised i have not check continuity between the relay and fuse to confirm a faulty PCB.

TBH if the PCB is faulty i am not going to fix the board it would be a nightmare to replace/fix. i may splice in a new relay and fuse or something. i don't think there is easy way to bridge it in the fusebox atleast not 30A worth.
