Coolant drain question

Good morning,
Draining my coolant and had a question.
I seen alot of mixed reviews and youtube videos on this so I thought I'd ask here (the experts).

Swapping my coolant out since it has the old green fluid and trying to get all of it out. I drained from the radiator and the engine block, is there anywhere else I need to drain from to get all the old stuff out ?
I have seen people flush with distilled water or even start disconnecting hoses to drain it our further.
But is this necessary since I already drained from those 2 places?

I also thought it would be a good idea to get a new engine block screw along with a new radiator plug (since there plastic) while I have the fluid out.
I think I'm also going to change the thermostat (even though it wasn't overheating) since I don't know when's the last time it was changed.

Don't you have to disconnect one of the big water hoses in front of the engine anyway when you start filling in new coolant through that hose?
BMW coolant is blue-green.

don't change thermostat, not the maintenance item and new parts quality is nowhere near old staff it seems. If you drained the engine block, you are good. Bleeding the system is another story.

this video is not bad for it. They also sell funnels with a plunger in the middle so you can remove it from the tank without spilling. Just make sure to set the level in the tank to the correct mark once done.
