This thread has nothing to do with M20's, I have no idea what you're talking about.

And I thought I was being nice, you asked for info and I told you where to find it. Imagine the nerve.

      Imagine indeed.......

You could have just as easily just said yes. (more easily, actually) less typing!

I wouldn't. Hopefully mark will chime in with info on a Cali chip and pricing and such
That first chip you tried should work for CA. I'm planning on selliing these for $209, if shipped individually by Fedex from Canada.

Or in a group buy, I could Fedex all the chips to the USA and someone could send them by Priority Post from there, for about $189 each.

I currently have 91 and 93 octane versions available for the 173 DME, and will soon have versions for the 153 and 380 DME. (both 91 and 93 octane versions will be available)

get a 91 octane chip. There's no reason for mark to make 3 chips, all within a point of each other....

I'll probably through my AA chip up for sale and get a 93 MarkD if you get some nice numbers on the machine.

On the "ceiling" of your glovebox there is a black panel. Take it off and your ECU is there. You might have to remove it to see your ECU# printed on it.

The milder chip should easily work with 91 octane. The second chip propably needs 93 due to the fact that the M42 has high compression, but I have not advanced the timing very much over the first (milder) chip. If I had a 318iS here and it wasn't almost winter, I'd put some 91 octane in it and monitor it for knock.

And as mentioned, most octane boosters are a waste of time and money.

will you be testing the latter on 91 sometimes?

The prices sound great though, how much will the chip be shipped within Canada?

I dont wanna be such a cheap bastard (oh wait I am), but filling up with 93 everytime gets costly, especially with the Canadian Gas Prices, and how far we need to go in order to get anywhere - so the 'mild' chip sounds appealing to me at the moment.
Yes, all Canadia-nans live in mountains, and must travel far to get to the village to buy fur and maple syrup.
                            :)

Lastly, Mark, thank you for taking your time to make a chip for us. Us 4 banger guys really don't need much more power, as the 4 banger is an extremely powerful and toruqy engine as we have all experienced, but a little boost never hurts :D
