The question is, why are you doing this? Are you planning on tracking the car? Really, unless you're headed for the track, who cares if you are a percent or two off from perfect?
bingo. and parking with your employer doesnt count.

do you have to do anything special to remove the trunk tar, or do you just pull hard

it seems funny to me that you're worried about weight distribution, yet you were removing the weight from the back of the car (trunk tar, rear seat, tools, etc).

FWIW the one time I removed my spare and rear seat for autox I had my worst times ever.

Ditch the AC, you live in assholechutsetts, don't be a pansy, it doesn't get hot there. Once you get rid of all the components, it's nearly 70 pounds off of the nose of the car.

Ditch the heavy ass alpina knockoffs and buy some light wheels if you're really interested in weight savings.

I wouldn't give a crap yet. It's your first school. I thought about ditching A/C a year ago, but what gain would it be? But being sweaty in the summer? Not like it'd make a fucking difference either.

You could lose the front euro plate if you really wanted to ditch weight and better the balance. Why not lose the front lip as well? FUH RAZE!

the controll arms can be changed to aluminum or titanium, i could get a bunch of titanium ones made if i had enough intrest my neighbor knows a guy who does custom titanium suspension parts and anything else you can imagine.... take out the whole hood release system and put hood pins in

my point exactly with the AC, fuck that, i know it wont make a difference enough to matter. as far as euro plates, i dont rock em any more, no a single one on my car :)/ too many tickets, draws too much attention to the car. and fuck losing the front lip, it adds downforce ;)

you loose a few hp with the ac cause it has to spin the compressor and an xtra belt. so by ditching the ac you get better fuel millage more hp and less weight. downside is well the no ac, but thats why they come with windows, you roll those down!

If the A/C is not on then there is no parasitic loss because the A/C clutch is not engaged. Don't spread misinformation.
