So what else would affect fuel reading besides the sender and gauge?

Nothing. That is a very simple circuit.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

so ur low level yellow light comes on correctly, but ur needle stops at 1/4? Does ur guage work past 1/4?

hmm yelow light is suposed to come on with less than 1.5 galons, if its just ur needle not working try using ur obc to see how much fuel u have i think its Range setting. that might give u something to compare to.

im having the same issue...just mine doesnt work, my gage is crazy, when its full its at full, and then it stays in the middle most of the time until the tank is almost gone it drops down i have to put fuel on the regular so i wont run out.....the po took the cluster out and installed a carbon fibre thing on it...

have you figured out whats wrong with yours?

Take the sender out, test it with an ohm meter.

I'm not 100% that it's the sender though. The problem wasn't there until he changed the cluster out, since that, he's had this problem. The sender was the first thing I changed.

I think the right gage is in the cluster (the part number matches what realoem.com shows). Therefore it must be some difference in the cluster.
