does someone fabricate anything to lift the engine for an extra 1/2"-1" of clearance? thought about making custom motor mounts as i had to lift the right side of the engine up to get to the passenger side control arm and i realized how much room i had to raise it.

Instead of making custom motor mounts, why don't you just shim up the stock motor mounts with spacers/washers? Many people do this when installing a 24v motor in order to gain clearance with headers or brake booster.
I wouldn't recommend this for a track car because of the raised center of gravity. For a street car where handling doesn't matter, I don't think it will harm anything.

the center of gravity won't be effected that bad as it's an inch tops. when you're tweaking your car that much, you're on the professional level up against guys with enough money to run a dry sump and drop the engine 5 inches.........and track is boring so no, it won't be tracked.Comment

skid plates increase the chance of a cracked pan and give less clearance.
