Forgive me, but I'm an M20 guy. Seems to me it's an easy job, and doesn't take long. Can anyone explain what it is, where it is, and what's involved in swapping it? Searching didn't help.
Also, the car has a rough idle, but revs beautifully. What could be causing this? I was thinking it's the tensioner, and at higher RPM the slack in the chain is removed, causing the engine to sound better. Just a theory from what I understand of the M42.
