That car is looking badass. Don't forget the details like euro grilles and maybe some smoked ellipsoids...I might sell you mine if you want, but they don't go cheap these days...
...and flat black those bumpers! smoked indicators for the front! That thing is going to look amazing. If you need a Photoshop for anything let me know.

Thanks dan. I was originally going to swap to plastic bumpers sometime this summer, but now that I know I am not going to do that for a while, I will probably black them out. I also need to touch up the trim in the front.
For the tire clearance, I will be either rolling the fenders... Or I will use an english wheel to get some sheet metal bent just like the flares, and lap weld it to them to extend them. Then I will cut them off, move them up an inch, and then it will be the same fender lip placement as stock... Except with about 1" more width.
I am dropping her off at the exhaust shop today.

OK I had strep throat and the car spent 5 days at the exhaust shop. I have done a few things since my last post. The exhaust was $400. I was happy to have the car back in my garage, but I was more disappointed the more I saw of the exhaust. Discount performance muffler did the job. they are on 33rd and broadway in portland. Rob is the owner, and the guy who handled my car. I told him I wanted 3" piping, from turbo to tailpipe. He went cheap and avoided buying a mandrel bent piece by making a 2.5in downpipe... which isn't that big of a deal i guess. But when I took the downpipe off the turbo, I found metal sticking directly agaist the flow of exhaust... which would cause some extremely nasty airflow charicteristics, as well as some heat problems. I ground it all out though. He also forgot to put in my oxygen sensor bung... which was on the invoice, I got a refund for it though.
I also made a gauge cluster. I was going to put in little blinker and headlight indicators... but who can't tell when those things are going on anyway? I still have an A/F gauge for my wideband O2, as well as a pyrometer i need to mount someplace. But I managed to get 6 gauges into the cluster.
I got the e46 front brakes done. No issues there.
YUCK
Better
Pyrometer sending unit
Oxygen sensor bung. Waste of $25 to pay someone to do it anyway. I am glad Rob forgot to do it.
Pretty low key. The end is satin black 3" piping. I may put an actual tip on it later. They are only like $20.

OKay. Actually did some of the small stuff.
Brake booster line with one-way valve
Vacuum lines are done, still with MBC
Intercooler piping installed
Bought like 20 hose clamps and put them on
Removed bosch mortonic system
Wiring is half done
All I need to wire is the starter solenoid, fuel pump relay, ECU power, ECU backup power, and the ECU relay.
Other stuff I haven't done is the throttle cable and the right rear brake caliper. I need a guide bolt for it. I have no idea about the throttle cable. it is way too short. Ideas?
THen I need to plug in the fuel pump, fill up the fluids, and it is ready to go.
Here is the engine bay.

Nice job though. Some may say it's not all pretty, but you did it all yourself and that is a major accomplishment. Props amigo!

BTW, good work, I like that somebody actually had the balls to do this themselves.
Eric-thanks man!
UPDATE-
I bled the brakes, Bled the clutch, changed the oil, did some more wiring, and I should be done tomorrow.
All I have to do is the dashboard, coolant, fuel pump, throttle cable, power steering fluid, and find out which ground I am missing. THe power windows aren't working...
