    Injector question

I have installed 19 lb injectors in my 325is and now my wideband oxygen sensor is off the chart. Does that sound normal? It is reading consistently in the 20's. Prior to these injectors it was at 14. Is this part of the process until the computer learns? :?

Doesn't surprise me. According to all the people with 19 lb injectors and no A/F gauges or dyno time, it should adjust. Please keep us updated on the results.

unplug your battery overnight then the ecu should be able to learn a lot faster, i think

        Don't we all love R3V?

Robert's car ran rich with 19lb injectors, Dave's cabby ran rich...

          ARRRRRGHHHHH!!!!!! The INSANITY!!!

so which is it? will it run rich, or NOT?

I have yet to install mine because I am waiting to settle my air flow issue, but this is getting ridiculous.

so how do you explain my fuel economy? I went from an average of 20-21mpg to 21-22 (slight increase). if it were running rich wouldn't it drop? and shouldn't there be black soot all over the back of my car, and shouldn't it smell bad? (I've had carb'd cars, I KNOW what running rich smells like)

and yes, I love r3v. all the guys who haven't done this seem to know all about it.

p.s. it only takes a minute or so for your ECU to reset after you unplug the batter, overnight is uneccesary.

Chris, you have never had your car on a dyno or hooked up to a wide band O2 sensor so you don't know what your A/F ratio is regardless of your fuel mileage increase. The A/F charts I have seen for cars that simple bolt on injectors are less than ideal, and thats why I haven't done them yet.

if its reading 20 instead of in the 14's it is reading lean there chief. not rich. lower than 14.7 to 1 would be richer. ;)

No one wants to prove me wrong, all I can work with is the dyno A/F charts posted. And on both cars with these injectors and no fuel management, they ran rich.

I can only add up the actual proof given to me, no more.
