Tighten all the bolts for the wires on the starter solenoid. It'll take 5 minutes. You can get to them by reaching your hand right behind the brake master cylinder resevoir on the driver's side of the engine bay.

what kill switch? Sorry for the new battery, but if it turned when you connected pins 11 and 14, then the starter is just fine.

first off, a battery is a battery. as long as it has 12.6 volts and posts that fit you car, it'll work

2nd, if you can start the car by jumping the pins, the starter is fine and its your ignition switch that's the problem. or in your case an ignition kill switch. you could also push-start it

3rd, go buy a multimeter. even an el-cheapo model as long as it has voltage, resistance, continuity, and ground checks. i have the harbor freight special and its been well worth the $3 i spent on it.

I guess someone installed a kill switch on my car hah. They gave me the battery for free so no problems there!

It needs enough amperage to kick over the starter....Not just volts. You could get a couple of 1.5v aa and connect them in series for 12.6 vdc is that going to work? No...

Proper sized battery is key. Pittsburg is known for cold weather too, so more Amps is crucial.

                  Now its time to:

                  get the bumpers on
                  get a new windshield
                  bleed the brakes
                  new power steering fluid
                  oil chainge
                  diff change
                  transmission change

haha its not that interesting. I was just sitting in the cockpit fiddling around with my leather ebrake boot that never likes to fit on and I noticed the switch. "don’t you dare tell me its that fucking switch" flipped the switch and turned the ignition. I was having mix feelings, I didn’t know if I should be mad or happy since it was the fuckin switch the whole time!

Buy a Bentley manual. If you don't know where the starter is, I think you are going to struggle with a lot of this stuff.

Great advice, it'll pay itself off quickly.

Even my Haynes manual has helped me out a lot and I think they are only about $15 and can be found at most local auto parts stores. Worth the money for sure.
