Tighten all the bolts for the wires on the starter solenoid. It'll take 5 minutes. You can get to them by reaching your hand right behind the brake master cylinder resevoir on the driver's side of the engine bay.

first off, a battery is a battery. as long as it has 12.6 volts and posts that fit you car, it'll work
2nd, if you can start the car by jumping the pins, the starter is fine and its your ignition switch that's the problem. or in your case an ignition kill switch. you could also push-start it
3rd, go buy a multimeter. even an el-cheapo model as long as it has voltage, resistance, continuity, and ground checks. i have the harbor freight special and its been well worth the $3 i spent on it.James

Proper sized battery is key. Pittsburg is known for cold weather too, so more Amps is crucial.

haha its not that interesting. I was just sitting in the cockpit fiddling around with my leather ebrake boot that never likes to fit on and I noticed the switch. "don’t you dare tell me its that fucking switch" flipped the switch and turned the ignition. I was having mix feelings, I didn’t know if I should be mad or happy since it was the fuckin switch the whole time!
