Cheap Sub-Frame Fix?

To me, this seems like a really stupid idea. At least, the idea of fixing worn out bushings. You should fix worn out bushings by replacing them, not putting a band aid on them.

I do see however how this might stiffen the bushing up and be an improvement to stock bushing that are in good shape. But why not just go urethane and never have to worry about it?

1 hour and $24 is worth it if it saves me 10 hours and $100. Appearently it's working for others and recommended by some other enthusiasts and for $24 I don't think the guy is trying to make a killing on Ebay.

Sloppy ass. Turn sharp and the rear feels disconnected. Slides become uncontrollable, no grip off the line.

IE Urethane is the way to go.

Didn't you do this all by yourself to your car?
If so, how difficult awas it man?
I remember you mentioning something about your redone rear.

For $23 you get the whole set to redo your bushings.

It doesn't take 10 hours or $100 to do your subframe bushings. I had mine done in under 5 hours full removed and reinstallation and its less than $100, but I got mine for free anyways.

Then your statement is still not entirely true. For someone doing it for the first time it can be up to a 8-10 hour job and if that person were to buy them it would probably cost the $100.

Just the thought of taking so much shit apart to fix 2 bushings is such a waste when something much easier can accomplish similar results.

I did it myself, and it was my first time. The bushings new were valued at $80 (urethane) from www.bmwbushings.com, OEM ones are even cheaper.
