I'm still trying to figure this one out guys. As soon as I figure it out, I'll pay the person. I really haven't had much time to check out everything yet..
$25 to the person who figures this out...

if you have good help coming tue why stress about it? noone on here can see your car other than pics.besides it could be a series of problems not just one ,and also he might see things that might need fixing that could cause problems down the road.;)Comment

One of the connecting points on your starter should have two cables attached to it. My money says you forgot to connect one of the cables. Totally guessing here, but you may only have the cable that comes directly from the battery attached (which is why you are cranking, but not getting spark).E30 Dinan Turbo

Go to the first page of this thread and work through the trouble shooting list I posted. Report what you find. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Well here's an update. I got the car running!!! I replaced the ECU, got a new engine wiring harness, and I guess something was also wrong with my ignition cylinder(orange pin behind it came out and had no connection), and purred right up! After owning it for a year, it finally started for the first time haha. Only thing is that I kinda ran into an issue, now that it's running. Take a listen. Yay...

pcm
I had a vw that had the same issue where it had no spark cranking but spark afterwards, my mechanic could not figure it out. then i took it to a vw specialist and he wrote me up for a pcm.
LMK how it works I might have a spare pcm lying around
EDIT: damn, missed out on 25 bucks. Good job on the self diagnosisComment
