Driver Side Power Window is not going down on 92 325iC

I got the car yesterday and notice that the front driver side power window cannot go down, it will go down for an 8th of and inch after some push but is a no go afterward, when I push the "up" button, it will move that 8th an inch up instantly...I know there is power and "head" the motor is trying, but I have no luck after several try...any help from the expert?

All other three go ups and down with no problem, except the passenger front going slowly in the middle of moving up...

Have you tried slamming the door shut really hard?

I was thinking about that too...should head to autostore to get some lube...I don't think WD40 will fit this application :p

open up and clean the switch too. I had a problem where I couldn't roll my window up sometimes. When I took the switch apart it was all nasty in there. A few minutes with contact cleaner and an emery board and it works like new.

No, do not use WD-40. Buy a proper grease like this...

If it moves at all its more likely to be the switch so start by swapping it with one that works to confirm. Then do as suggested above.

Swap the passenger switch to the drivers side and try again.
