    Help: Wobbly Fuel Gauge Needle

My fuel gauge needle is moving erratically, and it is annoying as hell. If I tap on the plastic cover for the cluster, it will make it wobble more, and occasionally "stick" where it actually belongs relative to where the fuel level is. Is there a ground nut or something that is loose?

I also have the "smack the dash / cluster housing to get the backlight working" issue, although that has been there forever. Is that also an easy fix?

    Thanks!

We have an iX with this exact issue, and I'd be really curious to hear what people have to say about it. We changed the level sender unit, but that didn't seem to make any difference.

Typical issue. There is a grounding nut on the back of the gauge, remove it, clean, reinstall, problem solved. Usually.

      Fixed mine.
