    Play in wheel.

There's a lot of play in my steering wheel. What can it be. I know my steering rack is leaking can it be that. And my boots are ripped. Also my ball joints are bad. Both.... And my control arm bushing are bad. '-' help

Leaking rack has nothing to do with the play. Worn tie rods, control arms, and possibly the steering guibo are the obvious suspects. Wear in the rack is posssibility, but remote.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Check your steering ujoints. I haven't heard a lot about them going bad on RWD e30's, but I know it is somewhat common on the iX.

seriously replace everything. except the rack (unless you want a faster ratio rack). Jim's right, worn out racks with bad tooth gap are pretty/super rare

rubber steering coupler can indeed become worn as well, seriously just replace everything:

                              I think it's your rack...

...and all the other parts that will also have slop in them....

And the blinker fluid. But don't blame Hasselhof for that one.
