Driver side key hole won't turn and won't lock

Hello, when I purchased my 87 325e e30 last year, the owner told me that the driver side key hole won't turn so I would have to go through the passager side to lock the driver side. I took the door panel and can't find the problem. Would anyone know the problem?

You probably just need to rebuild the lock cylinder. Give blunt a call and he should be able to hook you up with the kit.

You need to get an alarm with keyless entry.

Who's blunt?? Cuz I'm kinda getting tired of locking through passager side.

        Is the keyless entry expensive?

Unless you are experienced with installing keyless entry systems, which i doubt you are from asking how much a system costs, don't do it. The factory locking works great and 90% of the aftermarket alarms/keyless entry just screw everything up.

Might be worth a try before doing anything else. Spray some lube in the key lock cylinder. Use something like Tri-Flow. Works wonders on my old house lock cylinders.

Neither of my side door locks work. I use my trunk loam to actuate the door locks.
