Yep. I'm getting 12v at the coil. I am to the point that I think I might just spring for a new CPS. It could be my problem for sure.

I snagged one from the yard I'm going to try. But if it doesn't work I don't fully trust it.

Hope fully it works. Did you test the resistance with a multimeter should be at like .052 ohms or something like that. Atleast that's that the m30 was.

Yep. I've tested the resistance of both. The Bentley says 540 +/- 40 and they are both within that spec.

Should be good to go then.

So, put in the sensor from the car that had the broken T-belt and I still get no spark. :( This is one of the most frustrating things I've ever dealt with. I feel like I'm second guessing everything I've done. The only thing I really have left is checking pins for power and continuity. I'm just about to the point of towing it to a professional.

I hear ya I was so close with my m30 swap. If your getting power to the coil but nothing to the distributor and no spark at the coil. Try changin the coil?

I've already changed the coil with one from my other e30. It also does not produce spark. I've got the plug directly plugged into the coil, thus eliminating the wires, cap and rotor from the equation.

Ah okay must of missed that. What about your obc I've heard about that causing it not to spark. Look it up on google I can't remember exactly what caused it.

Are you talking about the DME or the obc that I've swapped with a euro clock? My DME runs a friends car fine. His DME failed to produce spark in mine.

Did you check power and grounds at the DME connector? Maybe you are not getting power to the DME at all?

I haven't yet, that's what I was going to start doing. The Bently is short on information about DME pins, or I'm missing something. I've been reading through post four here. I'm not sure where he got his info but I figured I'd try that out. I really think I'm just missing power somewhere, or something dumb like that.

He got his info from Claus Luthe himself. But really, if there were ONE person in the e30 world I could listen to for advice, he is who I'd pick.
