    Smoking from under the hood?

A coolant hose popped on me two days ago (nevermind how), and it took part of the radiator with it. Not a big part, just a piece of the inlet. I reattached it and refilled the car with coolant and have been taking it easy, but theres still smoke coming from under the hood! Its coming from the back of the engine bay, and it looks like its coming off of the exhaust pipes. Could this still be coolant evaporating?? its been two days!

Yes, it's coolant burning off - it'll subside eventually. lol

How much have you driven in two days? Just a couple miles?

check the coolant hose you replaced, not the hose it self but where it's attached to the rad and the block or whatever, make sure the car is up to temp so the coolant is flowing and under pressure, it could still be leaking, but if you've driven for more than 30 minutes the coolant should all be burned up. that is unless it's still leaking....

If it took a piece of the inlet when the hose burst, maybe it's leaking from there and making its way to a hot part of the engine where it can evaporate... new radiator....

The hose poped cuz it overheated cuz of headgasket. WCS

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

let the car sit and idle for about 20 minutes if its still smoking then its not the collant burning off of the exhaust manifold..its probably the headgasket as stated
