    auto to manual computer?

guys i went from auto to manual set up on my 86 325e everything is well except when i turn car on it idles good but as soon as i give it gas it looses power and want to die. I've read it may be the computer since i didn't change any electronics when i changed the tranny. any suggestions on what may cause that?

    please and thank you

The e30 doesn't use a computer controlled transmission. The swap shouldn't affect any ecu operations. Did you possibly disconnect something in the engine bay?

+1 for the same ecu. Especially the early cars

I swaped a manual into my coupe and never touched the computer. Based on it being able to start but dying when you give it gas, did you plug in the air flow meter? Or do you have a massive vacuum leak?

+1 on AFM. That sounds exactly how an m20 behaves when it's unplugged.
