Loud High Pitched Squeal Coming From Behind Dash

Hello and Happy New Year my fellow E30 maniacs, hope you're doing well. I am getting a sporadic high pitched squeal/whistle noise coming from behind my dash, and what might be the air vents. It comes and goes with no regularity, and always after the car has been running for a while already. It's happened 3 or 4 times in the 4 months that I've had the car. At first I thought it might have been the stereo, but it wasn't. Then I thought it could have been the bluer l blower fan for the heating and cooling system, but turning the fan off and adjusting the speed did nothing. So far, it's only lasted a few moments before stopping, but I'm afraid it might get worse, and last longer and occur more frequently. Have any of you E30 guys experienced this, or heard of it happening to others, and know what it is? Thank you in advance, I really appreciate any feedback and assistance you can contribute! Chat y'all up soon!

If it sounds like crickets chirping I now have that problem in BOTH my cars.mthe time caspule started doing it on the drive back from Florida last weekend and my Cabrio started doing it after I upgraded the ac system.

I don't mind it, but would feed them if that's what it is

Remove and inspect the blower motor for bad bearings or broken fins and check for debris in the cervice where the blower is mounted.

White lithium grease and an airgun should be decent temporary fix to the noise
