need help knowing what model my e30 is

so, I have my bronzit e30 for 2 years now and have been treating her like a baby. however I know for a fact its a 325 (no e on badge) because of the inside door sticker. also, the production date is 11/86.

I met a kid on the street who also had a 85 325e. we raced each other 3 times light to light, and I beat him all 3 times by a great distance.
I checked the top cylinder head to see if anyone made it a 885 or super eta 2.5/2.7, but that was not the case, it is all stocked. I checked the ecu to see if its chipped, however it is also stock with a removable chip. 1.1 motronic right? its 027 and not the seta 154, or 153.. I think, ill look again.

today I was in traffic (silicon valley) and I accidentally went 5th to 3th (please dont laugh) and I noticed it "rpm-ed" over 5k. it was sitting at 5k then slowed down for 2 seconds and went down as normal reading. i decided to gun it and it passes the 4500 and bobs at 5k or a little over. I went to a max speed of 120 when racing a volvo xc90 (its fast btw). the mph just sits at 120 and does not exceed.

I also noticed I have a LSD because I spun off the tires and checked the tire marks. both wheels spin then the inside does all the work. how ever its not a 3.73 because I will be cruising at 80 mphs at 2.5 rpm

so what could make it rev higher than 4.5 rpms? and also be making it faster than stock? any thoughts would be appricated, and ill check to see if your suggestions are correct.

    Thank you!

Where is your icv located? If it is over the valve cover it's an eta. Lsd diff were a options back then. Some early eta came with lsd, way before the "es" "is" became an option.

The chip in the ECU is likely allowing the engine to rev beyond the advertised 4.5K limit.

In your case, the redline limit on the tach is a suggestion, not an absolute. Proceed beyond it at your own risk. :)

Missing a gear can cause an over rev. Don't get too excited.

i read that the eta has a limiter wont allow you to go pass 4.5k and if you chip it itll give you a limit of 5300

dude i think its on of those rare ones imported from germany custom built. there are only 5 known of existing today.
I know this because of all the racing you have been doing and the tire spinning. no normal e30 does that.
if its the rare one, check kinda behind the driveshaft.. there should be a turbo there. you might have struck gold with this one!
