What do you guys use to grease your power antenna? I use white lithium grease and I have to reapply it once every 3-4 weeks during the wet season. I was thinking about using teflon spray...
How to grease the antenna?

first you have to turn it on so it's up all the way, then use your lube in a smooth up & down motion, gradually getting faster

Just unplug it from the back of the deck. Or unplug the antenna in the trunk.Originally posted by randomtask37wheres the plug, right up in the back?Originally posted by LikeCDoosi unplugged mine...

just pull back your trunk liner under your antenna and find the power wire that connects to it, then just yank it off. If you listen to the radio then don't do this...i unplugged mine because i don't listen to the radio and my antenna wasn't stock so it rose up like 6ft. It looked real gay.Originally posted by randomtask37wheres the plug, right up in the back?Originally posted by LikeCDoosi unplugged mine...

The PO of my car wired a circuit breaker switch to the antenna - it's right in the dashboard.
It kicks ass. I usually have the antenna off, depends on the clarity of the signal. If I need to hear the radio, I'll put the antenna up. Or, vice versa.
Seems like it was pretty simple though. ;)- Sean HayesComment

Dont grease it with anything! The reason they get stuck is because people put a bunch of lube onto them, and then every spec of dust that goes on it sticks in the oil and just makes a bunch of sandy oil mud all over the thing.
Clean it thouroughly, and once in a while just turn it so the wind blows it and bends it back in the opposite direction.Adam Fogg- '88 M3
