Just wondering what wheel bearings everyone suggests to use. I need to get mine replaced. For both the front and rear.

SKF, FAG, Timken are all okay in my book. I'd avoid Pex, although I've used them before with no issues. -
I was figuring Timken. Although I didn't find them when I searched. Timken is one of the better ones. Worked at amy off road axle and ring and pinion manufacturer. Also made 3rd members for customers. Timken is definitely my pick.Comment

For the front, if you buy a Timken bearing, it will just be a FAG bearing in a Timken box. So just get whichever you can find cheaper, Timken, FAG, SKF. FCP Euro has FAG bearings for $88 right now, you'll probably have a tough time beating that. They're normally $120-$140.

I run FAG on all 4 corners.
Protip: SOME duralast front wheel bearings are just reboxed timken bearings which are really FAG bearings as the picture shows above. Confirmed first hand.Your resource to do-it-yourself and interesting bmw and e30 stuff: www.rtsauto.com

I've bought FAGs and found a Timken in the box..go figure.
The rears are closer to $40@ so I presume the $88 mentioned above is for 2.Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com

I was referring to fronts only in that post. Not sure about brand/rebranding on rears, never really bothered since FAG brand is only $40 like you said. The fronts, being pricey and failing more often, I like to bargain hunt with those! I actually bought 4 of them on Amazon last year, they were on sale for $35 each. I was going to buy more but they sold out and raised the price back to $135.
So you found a front wheel bearing/hub assembly that actually had the Timken brand etched on it? That seems strange to me, I was pretty sure they were all just reboxed FAG's.Comment

The Timken was a rear. The irony being that you got a FAG in a Timken box and I got the inverse...lol
Front hubs I got from the dealer for $112@ and they carry a 2 year parts and labor warranty even if you. DIY the install. I questioned that and was assured thats what they do and was given examples. Can't really beat thatSeat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com
